Liver Pâté Toast Sandwich
レバーパテトーストサンドイッチ
inspired by 'Some Prefer Nettles' by Junichiro Tanizaki
'Some Prefer Nettles' by Junichiro Tanizaki was serialized in the Osaka Mainichi Shimbun and Tokyo Nichi Nichi Shimbun from November 1928 (Showa 3). In the novel, Misako, one of the main characters, makes a toast sandwich when she decides to leave her husband and children. We have arranged this toast sandwich, which was made by finely chopping pickled cucumbers cut in half lengthwise and placing them in bread with sausage, in the BUNDAN style. The toast uses 'Pain de Mie' from the boulangerie 'Signifiant Signifié'. Please enjoy the moist texture of the crumb.
