Mezé Bistrot Monteverde
Mezé Bistrot offers the legendary custom of mezé: a selection of small dishes that precede the main meal. Mezé, mezzeh, or misé, an authentic national monument in the Middle East and North Africa, has been a collective ritual since the time of the sultans, which no one would dare to avoid and which the Ottoman Empire gladly taught to all the countries it dominated. This wide variety of creamy sauces, such as chickpea hummus or eggplant babaganoush, along with refined salads and various fried dishes, are still accompanied today by warm pita bread. Mezé Bistrot reinterprets all the Mediterranean and Balkan recipes of these ante litteram appetizers, but allows itself some small liberties and includes in its menu delicacies from the Jewish Roman tradition, oriental specialties, and recipes born from the creativity and patience of Daniela and Elwis in the kitchen. The mezé is just the beginning, then the meal continues with couscous, kebab shawarma, Jerusalem chicken, pasta with eggplant, and much more. Enjoy your meal
