Korean-style Okonomiyaki = Jeon A flour-based dish made by mixing various ingredients with flour batter and frying it flat in oil. There's a custom of eating jeon on rainy days, which is said to be because "the sound of frying jeon resembles the sound of rain," or because "it's troublesome to shop in bad weather, so meals are prepared with flour at home." It is also an essential dish for ancestral rites.
