Hangukjip is the first restaurant in Korea to sell Jeonju Bibimbap, starting in 1952. For over 70 years and across 3 generations, we have strictly adhered to traditional methods, leading with our signature sauces. In 1979, we opened our first branch at the Lotte Department Store main branch, introducing Korean Jeonju Bibimbap to the world.
Hangukjip was the only restaurant featured in the 2011 Michelin Guide Korea edition.

This is a traditional Jeonju dish where rice cooked in beef bone broth is mixed with bean sprouts, raw beef, Hwangpo jelly, and various other vegetables, served with gochujang (red chili paste). It is characterized by its soft texture and deep, savory flavor. It is not spicy and is light, making it easy on the stomach. Gently mix the rice with your chopsticks to avoid mashing the grains.
