수유손만두

수유손만두
Originally, dumplings are said to be a food of the Southern Man people of China. Chinese dumplings are called 'mandu' when they are steamed rice cakes without filling, and those with filling are called 'gyoja'. However, in Korea, only those with filling are called 'mandu'. There is a legend that when Zhuge Liang was returning from conquering the southern lands and encountered a severe storm, his subordinate advised him to offer 49 human heads to the river god. Zhuge Liang, unable to commit murder, ordered that flour be molded into the shape of human heads and offered as a sacrifice. The storm subsided, and this is said to be the origin of mandu.
