This traditional Thai house is built of golden teak wood, hence its name "Lueng Urai," meaning "Golden House." It is said to have belonged to a herbal doctor during the reign of King Rama V. Recently restored according to Ayurvedic principles, this house has regained its former glory and still retains its beautiful appearance. In keeping with the traditions of its former owners, our cuisine utilizes an abundance of herbs and spices, believed to be both flavorful and medicinal.
